The Challenge

Modernize the on-air visual identity and promotional assets for public television broadcasts to capture modern viewer attention while maintaining the trust and recognition of a multi-generational audience. This transformation required establishing a premium, cohesive aesthetic capable of elevating flagship content, including two documentaries that went on to win prestigious Public Media Awards (role as graphics on production team).

The Integrated Solution

This motion-first approach directly supported viewer retention, enhanced storytelling clarity, and modernized the station's award-winning presentation. Additionally,

I extended the visual impact of Then, Now, and Always…the St. Joseph River documentary by designing specialized educational materials to drive community engagement and classroom learning.

My Role

  • Pipeline Architect: Developed and deployed a standardized promotional asset pipeline to streamline workflows across broadcast and streaming.

  • Brand Translator: Converted static brand guidelines into fluid, kinetic assets to modernize the network's identity.

  • Cross-Platform Integrator: Ensured seamless asset functionality and visual cohesion across physical television broadcasts, digital streaming platforms, websites, and print materials.
